Kentucky, I use Army Painter primer rattle can, it goes on smooth and covers evenly. It adheres very well to PE and is relatively cheap in large cans. limited colors though.

I use Mr Metal Primer and haven't had any problems with it. It's practically water so it won't fill anything at all.

I find that acrylic primers may not adhere very well as I had some lifting when removing masking even with proper surface prep. I like using decanted Krylon primers in my airbrush for excellent results, specially on pe. Tamiya's primers are equally excellent too and their rattle cans have a very fine and smooth flow.

Best primer for PE?

I'm trying to finish my Tiger I and I used a lot of PE, In fact the Zimmerit  itself is all PE and covers the tank.

I'm trying to find the best primer to use on that to give the paint a good surface to stick to on the PE parts and not fill in the Zimmerit.

I have the Tamiya rattle cans, the AK primer and I think Vallejo primer but if there is a better one out there i'l order it.
