ROK Armor colors question
Posted by stikpusher on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 2:32 AM
I am building Academy's 1/35 KIFV (aka K-200) kit. From doing image searching, it would appear that the colors on teh exterior are pretty much identical to US MERDC Temperate Fall colors- Dark Green 34079, Field Drab 30118, Sand 30277, and Black. But the interior color is kinda hard to pin down. It appears to be a sand, buff, or ivory color, not quite the same as the exterior Sand camo color. The instructions are no real help. They call for, "Light Interior Color". Can anybody provide some more definite color info here?

Sea foam green, would be my guess.  I use british sky, as it's the best representation.

ROK does not use seafoam green interiors.  The color is close to the same off-white color used in German WWII armor.  I don't have a color to recommend, but something off-white to beige will do.  Sorry I can't be more helpful, but that is what I have.

No worries there HA. I was thinking along the same lines. There was a couple of guys on here who were on Korea and I am still hoping they may see this and have an answer. Over on Prime Portal it definitely shows a tan/buff/ivory shade but....

They are definitely an off-white/tan/ivory color.  I was in them a few times when I was in Korea in '99-'00.

I will pick something appropriate out of my paints... Thank you for posting that. Lots of good little details there as well. White dome lights, bare metal overhead grab bars, etc.
