Hello All -- looks like I might have a solution-- The kit contains an F2 barrel as well as the main gun housing for the F2 -- strangely the kit (Dragon 9044) is sold as the F1 , not F1 - F2 -- The old squadron signal 'PzKpw IV in action' verifies a simple switch to the F2 barrel/ gun housing is all that is required to make the switch to the venerable 'Mk IV Special'

This would make the kit somewhat similar to the old Itaieri Panzer IV in which F1, F2 , or G versions could be chosen from --

This would solve another issue as this vehicle is for the 'Rommel v Monty' group build -- the Bison decal for the F1 is for the 5th Light Div, first siege of  Tobruk, technically over a year before Monty took command in Aug  '42  -- the F2 is for # 215 of the 21st Panzer serving at El Alamein

Now all i need is a turret mounted MG 34 for the TC ! -

Regards,

Dog

Well, depending on how complicated the piece, as well as size, you may be able to make a temporary copy out of some modeling clay and just cast it in resin.

missing/lost piece Dragon 9044 Panzer IV F1

Hello all --

I'm trying to locate a missing piece '   I1 ' (main gun housing) from the Dragon Panzer IV F1Embarrassed -(just vanished w/o a trace) - I've submitted a request to ' DragonCare' , and so far they have been very responsive, but this is a 17 year old kit, so Im not too confident theyll be able to find a backup -----

Here's my question - If I buy an identical kit, how easy might it be to have the piece duplicated via vacuum form?  Can I send out the piece to have it duplicated ?  Id really hate to waste a whole kit for 1 missing piece-

Any feedback is much appreciated
