R.I.T.A. in 1/72
Posted by deattilio on Saturday, April 19, 2014 2:48 PM

This is Trumpeter’s 1/72 M113 which I finished as R.I.T.A.
R.I.T.A. belongs to Delta Company, 3 Assault Amphibian Battalion at MCAGCC 29 Palms CA.  R.I.T.A. is the unit’s Recovery Instructional Training Aid and is dragged to the field by the unit’s AAVR7 or the R7’s chase and kicked into ditches, holes, or kicked over cliffs and recovery operations are practiced.  R.I.T.A. has seen better days and is well beaten and worn and has all her hatches welded shut.  True testament to how robust this little vehicle is when she rolls out with little fuss to be little more than an abuse victim repeatedly.

Thanks for the kind words.  This is a nice little M113 kit, it has a basic interior and engine but resisted the urge to build that up and I stuck with the plan.

I think you nailed this one.  The finish looks spot on to me.

Very nice details for the scale!
