Humvee madness - 1/6th Hasbro toy detailed into something close to scale. WIP

For the last couple of months I've been tring to detail a Hasbro GIJoe Humvee into something close to scale. Have finished about a third of what I intend to do but like most detailing projects the more reference photos you look at the more you want to add. Scratch built a front brush guard / bumper assembly from evergreen strip and sheet bits of aluminium wire and some brass nuts and bolts.

The interior has been completely redone. Drilled out the gauges and replaced them with photo reduced copies of the real ones. Lenses were made using the clear portion of craft store google eyes. The windshield glass was replaced with real glass cut down from a photo frame. Driver side mirror was fabricated with copper wire, styrene sheet and brass strip. All the data plates have been made from graphics scaled down from pictures of the real thing. Heaps of other stuff have been added. In such a large scale if you can see it in a photo you can make it from something. The passenger side heater is totaly scratch built from bits and bobs.

Seats have been recovered in cloth and weathered.

I'm begining to detail the exterior of the humvee. Anything that's toylike is being replaced if possible with more scale looking replacements. All in all a fun project and one that has a certain gravity due to it's size. To give you an idea of how big these 1/6th vehicles are the Humvee just fits onto a standard folding card table.

Tons more to add and a full camo pant job and weathering to attempt but so far I haven't stuffed anything up. An easy way to turn a $50 toy into a $250 beast. (That's so far, think about how much it cost to ship to Australia.)
Thanks for looking and a hope you enjoyed my little bit of madness.
