yeah it is a Horch but a later version than the Italeri one
heres the type Rommels in at 1998 Beltring War and peace show at the bottom of this page http://www.twenot.nl/kubel.htm

you might be able to combine the Tamiya Horchs body to the Italeri Horch front to get something like the Rommel one
the Rommel photo horch

the Italeri type, it had two spare wheels one each side, so it wouldnt get grounded going over rocks or bad ground

and the Tamiya type

Did a search on Google. Typed in 'horch kfz. 15'. The front end of this vehicle looks like a Horch kfz. 15. There are, however, a number of photos that show on either the left side or the right side of the body, about half way between the front wheel-well and the rear wheel-well, a mounted spare tire, plus a small fender over it. Now I don't see that on the left side of this photo, although the angle doesn't give a totally clear view of the left side. The right side is unknown in this photo. Also this vehicle may of had it removed or modified, who knows? If this is the only photo you have I'd give a good hunch it's a Horch 15. There are several models of this available. Italeri, Millicast to name a couple. HTH!

Yeah I was thinking it may be a 'Horch' of some type. I thought it might be a 'Praga AV', but Praga's had a rear double axle (4 wheels on rear) plus a split-front grill, of this vehicle has neither. This vehicle looks to just a single axle in back. Will keep looking for specific type though.

Does bear a close resemblance to the Horch Kfz.15. Italeri made one in 1/35.

Of course ... I might be totally wrong here. Maybe one of the Germanfreaks may know exactly what it is.

Question [?]Does anyone have any idea what vehicle Rommel is in, in this WWII photo? If so, is there a 1/35th kit available of it? I would love to build a diorama of it... Thanks, GM JoeBig Smile [:D]
