Thanks Rob, I had not thought of that.  I also bought a bag of mixed springs thinking the same process.  I'll try yours first.

I've got a partially built one in the garage, but it was a reissue without the springs. But if you look for a small bag of tiny safety pins that are for sale in sewing shops or Hobby Lobby you can cut the pointy end and head end off and you have the spring left.

I do have some of the springs for another kit I haven't got around to building yet. If I scan them, you can see what I mean about the safety pins.

A few years ago I purchased the Waker "Bull Dog" under the Revell name.  I discovered that this kit was the re-pop of the Renwal  that my father and I built as my first kit.

My issue is that the old Renwal kit had working suspension  with small springs attached to the shaft/locking plastic hub inside the side wall of the road wheels.  The Revell kit does not have them included in the kit.  I am asking for assistance from anyone who might have an old Renwal instruction sheet for this kit so I might fashion springs to complete this kit as my father and I did back in the sixties.

Thanks for any help!
