Model Maniac
As for your comments about the cargo cover, I believe "PJ" assembled it correctly and it's not too far to the back of the car.

Your belief is wrong.  He built it incorrectly and it is too far back.  It should not overhang the back tailgate.  Also, the "hammer-like" item is a turn signal indicator, not a close defense weapon.  It should be painted red and white like below.

Not mine, but a great example of how it can come out.  The canvas goes over the flange at the rear of the cab, not behind it.

As usual, no reserach was done on it and it came out incorrectly, and you try to wish it away with your arrogance.

ModelerBessems - thanks for your kind comments! This car was built by "PJ" - one of the artists who work for me. As for your comments about the cargo cover, I believe "PJ" assembled it correctly and it's not too far to the back of the car. How does yours look like? Show me...

Mike - thanks for your kind comments also! I'll pass your comments to "PJ".

I think PJ did a fine job on that weathering! Pass him my compliments.  :)

Very nice hand-painting work! You just don't need any airbrush!

Model Maniac, here is the Tilly I made last year. I refuse to purchase an airbrush (for personal reasons), so everything seen is enamel rattle can and weathering products.

I didn't notice that part before. If it looks like a hammer then it's probably a hammer which may be useful when changing tyres or even close defense. Thanks for your comments on "PJ"s work.

The Tilly! I can identify with this build in particular, as it was my first ever, military model since getting back into modeling in general, in 2013. Model Maniac, you included on the passenger side just below the A pillar, the little hammer-looking thingie (painted black), whose function might be interesting to know, as there is probably no other model that wears that part.  I myself just joined finescale.com last week, and I am trying to figure out how to put up pics of my Tilly. I like the rust effects on your hood!

Very good looking model! Very different from the 'usual' military kits, that's for sure. Just looking at that gives me all sorts of diorama ideas- thanks for sharing!

He didn't do anything, he buys them already built.  It isn't that great either.  The wheels are crooked and not all aligned.  Careful gluing and possibly using a jig while assembling would have fixed that.

Oh man, that is beautiful. Great job! I especially like the canvas over the back. If that's hard plastic you did an outstanding job giving it that weathered canvas look.
