I've got several modern non-US machine guns that I will never use. Problem is I do not know off-hand what British machine gun is used on the Challenger.

If this is the Tamiya Challenger I (Mk 3), I have that kit and can compare the turret machine gun with one of non-US machine guns I have on hand. Also the machine guns I have in the modern weapons sets tend to be dismounted infantry types and not the turret mounted variations.

The other posters are steering you towards US style machine guns which would not be appropriate for a modern British tank.

Rob: yes my kit is the Tamiya Challenger I (Mk 3) 1/35th scale... can you please check it out if it matches with one of your non-US machine guns? And if there's a match, i guess i can modify it a little to make it the turret mounted one... Thanks a lot...

According to my Osprey New Vanguard #23 Challenger Main Battle Tank book, the commander's cupola has an L37A2 7.62 machine gun mounted. From the looks of my Tamiya kit and comparing it with both my DML Modern Infantry Fire Support Weaapons (US) and my old Tamiya Modern US Accessory Set, the Tamiya M60E3 looks closest to the L37A2.

I thought (and probably do) have a set of Italeri modern weapons, but do not know where they are at the moment.
