Pics of a Captured Jagdpather (G2)

Conky, I just posted a reply to Tim's request for help. I did see your post last night and did a search and again today, but came up with nothing. The western allies in NW Europe didn't tend to use captured equipment as the Germans did. At best, they may have and a star painted on them and towed away for evaluation. But while I found plenty of pics of captured Jagdpanther, I couldn't find any with allied markings on them. Most seem to have been captured while damaged so possible not able to be move at the time. I'll keep searching, and maybe someone else can come up with something and hopefully when we get your Jagdpanther into the GB.

Similar to Bish I went through my archives and ended up with some captured vehicles but none put back into action under new insignia.

This might be for the simple reason that they where knocked out wherever they where put in action as being primary targets.

And also not adding any value to the tide of the allied forces, they where simply outnumbered and hence under-performing.

One can't prove a negative (as in "A Jagdpanther in allied markings did not exist".)  However, knowing the uniqueness of such a vehicle, if any previuosly known photos existed, this rarity would be very obviously familiar with those interested in WW2 German AFVs.    

I think you need to go to another AFV if you're looking for photographic evidence (which is what I'd advise you to do as well).

How about late war Panthers, Tiger Is or Pz IVs used by Free French forces that were part of the blockading forces the stay-behind German "fortresses" in ports along the Atlantic coast like La Rochelle and Saint-Nazaire?  Those are very interesting!
