CN Spots, toolboxes i made by metal and supplies boxes i mady by paper. i found photos of ration boxes and than draw it in paint. than print on color printer on usual paper. unfortunatle when i bend  paper some paint lost. so afyer glue it i use a little bit mig pigments (european dust).

Hello Zack. Thank you for your post. Bird cages is photoetched by Aber www.aber.net.pl/detal,305.html .  I like this Aber's details. it doesn't need to cut . everything fit almost perfect. But of course this bird cage should be made by wire.

I don't know squat about armor but I like the heck out of that build!  Those toolboxes and supplies are fantastic!  Is the print on the boxes scaled down color copies or decals?

The only thing I could add to all the positives and considerations points already put forward is that the tension of the running gear seems a bit loose.

This remark is only posted since you mentioned a competition, else I would have left it since your build is quite stunning and present an overwhelm of nice detail.

The bird cages for the periscopes - are they Tamiya or AM?

This is a very well done model. The only thing that sticks out to me is the odd position of the commander's hatch. US tank hatches are spring loaded; when first unlocked they pop open a few inches. Then they are pushed all the way open into a fully opened/locked position.

Thank you for your opinion and advices. probably i used wrong drawing for building model. thats why i made a misctake that you describe.

And about chains - when i've planed a position of tools, sandbags, k-ration boxes etc of course i used a photos. And for example on the photos from ost front there are chains just on board on german panzers and on soviet tanks. actually i think that in USA tank can be chains just on board (honestly i didn't rememmber it on sherman). that's my mistake. thanks for your notes. before competition i remove it.

Nice work Vladimir: another simple correction you might do is to remove part B5, the crank behind the rear stowage rack.  It is a mistake by Tamiya.  This crank was only present on M4s and M4A1s -- not on any M4A3s.  

EDIT: never mind... I see with your stowage, it's not visible whatsoever.  Just leave it alone.

Another thing you might want to alter: remove all those loose chains.  Chains have almost no value for an AFV.  And if carried, they'd be in bags -- so they don't fall loose and entangle the turret or running gear.  Modelers over-use them as stowage items, in my opinion.

CapnMac82, thank you for this information. i saw a photos with right position of lid that you describe. i made this little mistake because i want to show a decal on this ammo can. unfortunatly it's difficult to see decal and my mistake is visible. so i'll corect it.

Gorgeous use of color.

You might want to rotate the lid on the cal..50 ammo can, though.  The hinges are simple gudgeon-and-pintle, and would not hold  in that open position for very long.  (All of which are why post WWII cal..50 boxes were hinged on the end, rather than the side.)

     lot of dust mixed on and in with the contents.
