Wow. I never would have connected that many dots. Thanks! May your decals never disintegrate!

Just to note, the lower headlight position was not a standard production variation, but is a field modification particular to the 1st Co / sPzAbt 501 only.

I just looked up the directions here  for kit 35227:

www.1999.co.jp/.../10015445

In step 11, although the text says "Decal A & B" when it shows the lower headlights, it means when YOU choose either decal option A or B, you use this headlight configuration.

Rather than say Option A or Version A, they refer to it more as "when using decal option A" use this headlight placement.

It is NOT telling you to affix a decal at that site.  Hope this clears things up for you.

The instructions point out 2 different locations for the pairs of headlights, but they dont say when to pick one over the other (to correspond to an actual version of the tank). Then to confuse me more in the same section, they also mention Decals A B C D, but there are no decals that go there or even on the sheet.  I may just put them at the lower level with the brackets and call it a day. They look cooler there.  And, if anyone has a spare aluminum barrel kit for this build, let's talk.   Thx.
