Dragon 1/35 Heuschrecke IVb "Grasshopper"

Hi all, just finished off this one. It is only the second tank I have eve built, so forgive any mistakes, I am sure there is some.

What did not help me with this build is the instructions in some places had wrong sprue letters and part number call outs. So not being an armour guy there was a lot of head scratching and searching.

Other than that I really enjoyed this build, I may have gone overboard with weathering but I tried using oil paints for the first time and love the results. The mud is Vallejo Brown Earth applied via loading up a brush and then airbrushing  behind the brush to splatter the model. Base colour is Tamiya XF-60. Thanks for looking and Merry Xmas!

Nice work!  Thanks for posting pics.  Your tracks seem to have too much sag?  I'm not sure.  Maybe check that?

Looks good, I do thing that in fact you went very light with weathering.

If the tank is that rusted and chipped, it needs more dust, mud and dirt to go with it and make it more convincing.

Try some dark wash and pin wash and it should look more better.

Anyway, it is always tough to try new things, so you are in the good track!

Are you a plane, car ship builder?

I agree, it could do with more dirt and mud, but it still looks very good, well done.

I've been interested in this kit for a while, so it's nice to see one built.
