Man, I thought that was a joke until I Googled it. They actually fought while wearing those things? OMG. Now I have to find one for myself.

Watch out for fake copies.

Be prepared to pay from $500 to $1500 for one online.

As for myself, I seriously don't want one that bad.

Lol! And if that's not enough on first glance somehow the blue door in the background looked like a TARDIS!!!

http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/vader.gif Sometimes life is just stranger than fiction.

Hussein's  http://emoticoner.com/files/emoticons/smiley_faces/idiot-smiley-face.gif son Uday, was a Star Wars fan.

The Vader helmethttp://fc09.deviantart.net/fs8/i/2005/353/0/8/Darth_Vader_Emoticon_by_Kingskully.gif and uniforms were "his" idea.

May da schwartz be wit you. No wonder they didn't put up a bigger fight in the first war, i wouldn't be caught dead going into battle wearing that helmet. Didn't Uday watch the whole movie? it didn't end well for the Empire either.

Yeah, those helmets should have been enough to

              cause mass desertions.

Here's Udays helmet after they caught him.

I looked for a year, 2004, trying to find one of those helmets to add to my collection. I had standing orders with my two Iraqi interpreters to buy one if they ever saw one in Baghdad, but they never could.

I found lots of regular Iraqi helmets laying all over the place. Even found some British helmets from WWII.

That does look like the Tardis door in the background, funny.

I'd settle for a fake......  those are hilarious, in a very twisted way.

They actually pop http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i68/JennB_213/Smileys/Easter/GoldenEgg_PopUpSmiley.gif up on ebay from time to time.

Try this search term, "fiberglass Iraqi Fedayeen Helmet" every now and then to see what pops up.

There's a bunch of the real things, $350 and up. I may try searching "fakes".....

I don't know whether to laugh or shiver.
