What a great looking build Gmorrison!!! Fantastic work.
But why are they so tall? The gun can't raise that high, can it? lol
- Mike Brindos "Lost Boy"
They are the front beads on the gun sights.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Sighting vanes?? Why are they so tall??
Nope.
Hint it has something to do with their position directly forward of the commander an gunner view ports.
Well if they're not radio antennas then they used them for the same reason I used to have one on my ATV for - Mounting a pennant so someone can see you before you get over the rise of a sand dune.
Am I close?
Thank you all for the positive comments.
And now a "trivia" question:
what are those two little vertical whiskers mounted to the front plate of the turret?
Lol, seemed like an odd fit at first but it's awesome how she turned out!

Thank YOU!! :D:D
Excellent!
Great job, GM!
I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
GMorrison The turret from that angle almost looks like it has a "happy face" Cool build !

Cool build !
vey nice!!
Looks like a praying mantris for me...hehehe...
I like the color and of course all the scratchbuilding.
Good work!
Nice looking build !
Wow!! I think we need some close-ups. ;)
OK this is finished. I'm really happy with the results, pretty well what I had in mind. Any comments or constructive criticism is more than welcome.
With all the IDF builds going on I had to jump on the bandwagon and purchased Tamiya's M-51 Super Sherman. Amazon has them in stock for $29.61 shipped. Gmorrison the build looks great and I can't wait to see the finished results!
Wow. This is fantastic!
This is getting more and more interesting.
Now that a uniform coat of paint is on the build, the slope of the turret mantlet seems to match the slope of the hull as though the vehicle was designed that way...........
Base colors on. Now final assembly and then markings and weathering.
Sprue-ce GooseGamera Pretty neat! Looking forward to seeing how she turns out. Indeed ! . Who doesn't love it when a plan comes together !

Weird tank you've got there, but I like it.
Preimed and pre-shaded.
Thank you. Currently gluing tracks together. I will shoot some tan tomorrow when the wind dies down out back.
Just picked up a Tamiya Tiran 5 on Amazon for $ 39.00 woohoo!
i think this is spectacular G. I love what you've done so far. I'd love to see some color on it. :D
Thanks everyone. I put a light coat of primer on it yesterday, It helps quite a bit to unify the look. I'll post pictures soon.
SG- yes, and Hobby Boss has a model out of the EBR 10. It is superior in most ways to the old Heller AMX 13 kit. I just couldn't justify tossing another $ 50 at this, but it would be an improvement.
Funny, I was reading the Dec 12 issue of MiM yesterday evening where the main article was the Panhard EBR-10.
Same duckling turret.
Very nice progress GMorrison!
