It was once very rare to see container ships at anchor. Even here in Vancouver I see them at anchor more often then before. I didn't work on them, but my relative was. He used to say that sailing on a container ship was like driving a bus or a train. You know exactly where are you going, when will you get there, how long will you stay there.

there was a shipping back log on the West Coast someone here once posted about.

At the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the primary entry point for shipping on the West Coast for stuff coming from Asia there is still a back log out there. During the height of the dispute about a month ago or so, I counted 30 container ships out there waiting to come in and unload. As of yesterday, I counted 14. (I cycle along the coast and part of my route takes me to where I have a good view of the shipping sitting out there- for fun and to pass the time along that part of my route I count them... the old LRP in me doesn't go away) According to the local press, there is something like a 60 to 90 day backlog of shipping and containers to get out of the Harbor areas and off to their destinations

have you tried Sprue Brothers.

They have 4 Jagdpanthers, all listed as in stock, including 1 with zimm.

Late Panther G

6 Tiger II's

The only Pz IV kit I am aware of with Zimm is 6611, a Pz IV Ausf H. But couldn't find any of those.

I have not noticed any shortage of Dragon kits this side of the pond. have you tried buying direct from the far east, I often find it a good price even with postage, well a good price compared to UK prices, and service has always been god.

Many of the Asian model importers are based in California. But maybe some come in from NY/NJ.

The Smart Kits are their line that are simplified with fewer parts. The Premium are the ones that are gazillions of pieces and often more comprehensive PE.

Not exactly the port of entry maybe?, as i do know for a fact that Camera gear that comes from Asia, port of entry is New York. But could be differn't for models i don't know?

No because its port of entry for products from Asia. It got really bad for a while until the Feds stepped in.

Yes the Orange box stuff from Cyber Hobby is older kits that are reboxed usually with figs added to it. The Premium & Smart kits came out later and are better quality like aluminum barrel & PE.

It would be strange that a shipping shortage only on the West Coast would effect ebay and nationally?

I'm new to the armor modeling. I've bought two of the Cyberhobby orange box kits, and am waiting for a third to be released.

These are nice models. It sounds like you are looking for the upgraded ones?

Are Dragon Armor Kits becoming Rare??

I'm finding it harder and harder to find Dragon kits, mainly the "Smart Kits" and Premium kits", These have been my favs to build, mostly German armor. However i can't seem to find much available, even at the Dragon USA website most of it is back order. Or if you try Ebay rip off and happen to find one they want a small fortune for it.

Is it me just being behind the times or are they really becoming rare to find?
Perhaps there is another place to buy them that i'm unawhere about?
