Who the heck NEEDS a WORKING clamp in 1/35??? At some point in the future am I really going to want to remove that shovel or sledge hammer???? Doubt it!

I am doing an ABER set right this moment for a JAgdtiger , well to be honest I spent 4 hours the other day doing just the rear hatch latchs and the better part of last night on latch setup on a small box on the back ! Some of the parts require almost neurosurgery to assemble , add fat fingers in the mix ( that I own ) and it just gets impossible to a point ! My tweezers were just pulled out of the plaster wall about an hour ago (somehow they got tossed after a frustration session! ) the girl next door must think I am some kind of maniac at this point ! I just know the first brush that goes across this tank will rip off all of my hard work , only to be lost to the vaccum later ! I feel your pain ..... but if we are successful in our quest , the end results just may be worth it ?

boy is that the truth J hulk are we just plain mad here or what ?

I do admit, combined with the 'rolled armor effect' (thank you Angus Creighton), the hull-side cable clamps look dynamite sprayed up in the ol' dunkelgelb, but it can be pretty frustrating. The kicker is this is tamiya R/C 1/35, so I expect most of this will be history the nanosecond it runs somewhere wilder than my workbench.

Try the 1/72 stuff for the Revel Tiger.

I believe one of the first mass-produced photoetch sets was the Sherman Super Detail set by Verlinden. This was a PE fret that was designed for either the old Tamiya M4A3 or Italeri M4A1. I'm probably wrong and some sharpshooter will correct me. It is one of the first PE sets that I ever recall seeing though.

If I'm right, I guess you can blame François Verlinden.
