Huey54 What a great read.I hope a museum can get their hands on it. Sounds like the Panther just needs a set of tracks and a tune up, then she should be able to start right up.

Wirraway There is some talk on the internet that the Main gun on the Panther hadn't been properly decommissioned. One of the reasons it was seized. I could see a lot of American collectors screaming blue murder if the same thing happened in the states.

Okay, Bucky Beaver.
......oops, my bad.
Bucky Beaver was Ipana.....
HAHAHA...there goes down the drain the rusty tracks, pigments and washes!!!...no weathering at all.
These have actually been around for a while now but unseen for a long time. Reports state both the 88 and Panther were previously repainted by the owner.
So no reference to actual colors as yet.
I'm really glad to see this. Thanks for bringing it to us.
I have to wonder if (at last) we might have a prime example of dunkelgelb and panzer grey.
And especially the panzer grey, since there would be no reason to bring the 88 out of the protection of the underground basement and into the sunlight.
Maybe it's just my monitor but the 88 definitely looks blue.
Or maybe that's something to do with the Luftwaffe?
Wow, imagine being there when they pulled that panther and 88 out
YUP!
Saw that here:

Winters in Illinois have been getting pretty bad lately.
I could use a sturdy snow plow.
Wonder what happened to the tracks?
Unbelievable. It looks like they are brand new!
