Dunkelgelb question

There were thousands of different shades of Dunkelgelb.  Use one that is most appealing to you.

Only the Luftwaffe used RLM colors. The rest of the Wehrmacht, the Army and Navy, used RAL colors, a system that is still in use today. But yes, Modelmaster does make the proper RAL colors for German armor. Check you local hobby store or favorite online shop for selection and availability.

Just opinion,but I always thought the Modelmaster looked like pea soup,I prefer the Tamiya XF-60 lightened to compensate for filtering and weathering.

I also have the Vallejo Dunkelgelb set which I plan trying on my next German build.

For mu dunkelgelb I mix Vallejo Dark Yellow and German Camo Beige.  Seems to be a compromise from the over green tint that some of the others have which I didn't like too much.

I use a 1:1 mix of Tamiya Dark Yellow and Tamiya Deck Tan.

I'd like to agree that a mix of XF60 with something lighter works and to add some dimension and depth, modulate the colors a bit. That'll turn out nicey.

Have Vallejo released a revised Dunkelgelb set per Snapdragons corespondong with them way back; I can't find any such release.

This is my input BTW, interior of late war ammunition box and interior of 43 dated barrel container. Oh, I don't know how to insert the picture here, dohhh!
