The cammo turned out a lot easier to apply than I expected.  I was unsure of what colors were for the gray and brown so took a swag.  I could not find much helpful info and decided on NATO Brown and Neutral Gray, both toned down with some white.  Of course as soon as I get the colors down and I notice that Takom is releasing a Chieftan in the “Berlin Brigade” scheme so I figure it is only a matter of time before AK, Mig or someone releases a color set for the scheme.

This was a practice run for my next Philippine Marine LAV-150.  The next one is getting full interior, does not need the stretch and will receive a more common-looking camouflage.

Really neat! Love the camo though it makes me think of old video games like Breakout and Tetris!

That was on your bench in a shot you posted the other day...great to see her up and running.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

This is Hobby Boss’ 1/35 M706 modified and finished as a Philippine Marine LAV150S.  In addition to stretching the hull by a tad more than half-inch I also added DEF Models wheels, Verlinden’s UGWS turret modified with parts from Trumpeter’s AVGP Grizzly turret and PE for the M706 and LVT(A)1.  The aft machine gun mount was fabricated from .020 plastic based on photos with the ring and shields from the LVT PE set.  I am awaiting a Live Resin .50cal to mount in the rear and another to remove the barrel and mount in the turret.  I don’t two different looking barrels.

I still have touch up painting and weathering to accomplish but this is getting postponed due to the start of the new semester where my tie will be spent in text books and not on plastic.
