I pretty much add everything to the hull except the roadwheels, tracks, and antenna.I attach all the tools and cables, spray everything, and carefully paint the details by hand. The wheels and tracks are painted and weathered off the tank and later attached.

So you see everyone has developed their own method, whatever works for you.

I attach all the running gear before any painting is done.  I pretty much build the whole vehicle and then paint it.  I will leave the tracks off and road wheels off (if possibe) and paint them separately.  I also leave off smaller items such as tools that do not get painted the hull color.  They are painted separately and attached after the hull is painted.

Attaching Running Gear

Hello all,

I am in the process of building the Tamiya Stuart, and have undercoated the hull and running gear black.

Should I now attach all of the bogies and rollers? or will this give me problems with a even coverage of Olive Drab on the lower hull?

Thanks.

Bill.
