Bill, you can also go to Scalemates at https://www.scalemates.com/ to track the history of the kits to see if they are just rebox of another kit.

Bish, Thanks! I will opt for one of the new kits. I know that my grandson will enjoy it. Bill

No, these are new kits. I have the French campaign kit and though I have not built it yet, it does look nice and I have heard some good things. Both those kits build an earlier version than the old F/G kit.

Here is a review of the French campaign kit.

Tamiya 1/35 PzKfw II question
Posted by warshipguy on Sunday, September 6, 2015 12:05 PM

I have been out of armor modeling for quite awhile, focusing on ships.  However, my oldest grandson has asked me to build some tanks for him, and he is interested in the PzKfw II.  However, when I went to my LHS, I discovered the Tamiya has released two new kits of this tank of different types serving in the Polish and French campaigns.  Are these simply repops of the old PzKfw II Ausf. F that has been around forever, or are these kits real improvements over that old, old kit?

Thanks!
