Far from fabulous.  More like standard mediocrity.

The BMP-3 road wheels are magically floating above the tracks.  Decals are frosted. Some really bad seam lines, etc., etc., etc...

Same for the Zil-131.  Frosted decals, poor seam lines, etc., etc., etc....

Same for the rest.

Where is the rubble in the miraculously clean "ruined" factory?

Just more mediocre bought items that were rushed and unresearched builds by a paid builder.  Posted by a collector who is only looking for "atta boys" on his "wonderful" purchases.

it seems that some people forgot what it means to just plain enjoy a hobby for fun. Not for rivet counting.

I really do not know what is worse, a gun forum, a photography forum or a model building forum.

Hello!

I think it is very important to try to understand the people around you. I understand Model Maniac is a collector and he's building an impressive collection, I admire his determination.

On the other hand I understand Gino (HeavyArty) who can't agree to the superlatives - while the models shown have their strengths, Gino points out things that could be done better - if anybody cares.

I think there's no need for too much emotion here - everybody is free to choose how to react here. You might say "I don't mind the little things, I like those builds" or you might try and build them better than that - all perfectly cool. As for fun - some people have fun with going about every smallest detail in their model. But you can't make that mandatory for anyboady no matter what you say - and I'm sure Gino knows that very well.

I wish ModelManiac good luck with enlarging his collection and have a nice day everybody

Paweł

Pawel gets it.  I am one of the group who finds enjoyment out of building a model the most accurately as I can.  Does that mean I have any less enjoyment in the hobby, no, not at all.

Secondly, when you post pictures on an open forum, you should expect them to be looked at critically and not just be told they are the greatest _____ (fill in the blank) that has ever been shown here.  Blowing smoke up people's arses does nothing to help them improve in future builds.  I thought part of the point of forums was to share info and gain knowledge to better the hobby and our skills?  You can't do that if you are told your model looks great when it has glaring errors.

Lastly, I am not demanding anyone do anything. If you want your models to look like that and are satisfied with them, great. More power to you. If you would like to improve, I hope that my comments help you out to see what could be done better.

Mike - thanks so much for your kind compliments! I really appreciate them!

cb1 - some people have hidden agenda which has been known all too well.

It doesn't depend on the forum, but on the member and the moderator.

Pawel - thanks for your comments and understanding on my part!
