Interior M109 (Vietnam era)

Nothing specific. I was going to use the Boresight article as a guide. Basically, the rammer was on the turret ring in the open doors and the tray folding down as opposed to the rammer being attached below the breech as on the A2. I may have a few photos; I'll see what I have at home later.

Gino - that was my idea, too, it's just hard to get a decent reference material on the A-nothing M109 - most of them were converted to A2s, so no walk around photos, and the old TMs are also pretty hard to find. Do you have something you could share?

Not for a straight M109.  Black Dog does a very nice M109A2 interior for the AFV Club kit.  You can backdate both the AFV Club kit and use the A2 interior as a base to backdate to a straight M109 interior.  That is what I plan to do.  A few months ago in the AMPS Boresight Magazine, a guy used the Italeri M109 and backdated the old Trakz M109A2 interior to make a really nice M109.  The article was pretty detailed and laid out how to do it well.  There wasn't much to backdating the interior, mainly reworking and relocating the hydraulic rammer.
