For FT-17 photos, try the US World War 1 Museum photo database here:

http://theworldwar.pastperfectonline.com/photo

Also Squadron's FT-17 Walkaround book is pretty good with plenty of photos of actual FT-17's.

this has turned into disaster. The kit was great but I was stressing and thought a bit of building would calm me but i made stupid mistakes and got even more stressed and building is suppose to be fun so I tabled it and am starting a new one today. I really want to do a successful  WIP thread so I might try again with the cyber hobby half track I got. The ft is salvageable but I just lost patience with myself. I do this for fun and a creative outlet, ithe shouldn't be stressful!

This is where I stopped! Caution to perfectionists, this photo could cause headaches and involuntarily screaming

update 2

so I got the assembly done on both sides of running gear. Each side has about 55 pieces each. Fiddly diddly stuff but I think they turned out okay. The side panels and part of top hatch assembled. Metal suspension system in place too. This came with the kit, a nice touch I thought. Here are the update pics:

And here is my build buddy. He is always there when I'm at work!

Thanks for looking.

I could use a good refernce for this guy. The only photos I find are of different versions or of other model kits. So if anyone knows any photos of an actual ft 17. Let me know, thanks! Specifically 2nd, 1st, 344th tank bat, 304th tank brig, us army, Oct 1918.

Thanks again and any guidance, constructive criticism, or even praise is gladly accepted!

You're off to a great start. If you think you'll see them later, you always want to putty those dang ejector pin marks, so good thinking.

this is where I ended today after an hour.

Some assembly of the interior. There are two layers so I had to paint one first and glue tomorrow. Im never sure of myself when it comes to painting before building but it's the interior so I thought I'd go for it. Vallejo white and black.

The interior side panels has some recessed circles so I patched it up with tamiya putty.

I'might off work tomorrow so I'm thinking a bigger update will come tomorrow night.

Ft17box

So this is my first WIP thread and I'm thinking it's more for my benefit than anything else lol. I am by no means a pro so I'm just hoping for tips. Anyway, here it goes...

Sprues. Some metal pieces, a bit of PE, and some strange track links I've never built before. Should be fun!

Ft17sprues

This is the one I'm trying for.

Okay, I'm just sitting down to get started. Update tonight or in the morning!
