The Terra Cotta spray looks perfect to me for US non-slip coating.  Maybe you didn't apply it thick enough.

That's what I tried on my first M1A2 and you can't ever see it let alone feel it. Maybe the stone is too heavy but it's a different brand than Rust Oleum so I'm going to try it once.

At the store there was a big difference between the Valspar and Rust-Oleum caps with the Rust-Oleum being too heavy and bigger graned. I'll find a scrap piece to try it on tomorrow and let you know how it looks.

The Stone texture is way too heavy for US non-slip.  You can see how it compares on the model here:  http://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=242069#2042240

It would probably work well for teh much more rough texture of Israeli AFVs though.

I think I found a better non-slip spray texture for the M1A2 and other modern vehicles. I found it at Lowes. It's in a spray can, Valspar "Stone". The texture looks better in scale than the Rust-O-Oleum "Textured" paint. I plan to try it on another M1A2 later this winter but not sure how well they will be in my photos.http://www.lowes.com/pd_58350-4-465.0011444.076___?productId=3729685&pl=1&Ntt=valspar+stone
