Panzer I A
Posted by Rangatron on Sunday, January 17, 2016 2:31 AM

Hi

Which company produces the best Panzer I A or just Panzer I model kit?

Thank you

Tamiya please produce these models: TOG II*, Bob Semple Tank, Renault FT-17, Black Prince, 1/350 HMS Vanguard and more British stuff! If anyone works Tamiya or can pass this on, please do so!

Best is, of course, subjective. But for the Pz I i believe you only have 3 options. Italeri, Dragon and Tristar. Though i am not sure which version the Italeri.

between Dragon and Tristar its a tough call. They both produce a nice range of kits and tehre is often little between them in many reviews. If price is an issue for you, go for the Tristar. If not, eitehr way you can't really lose. The Dragon Ausf A does come with an interiour.

Italeri issued both the PzI ausf A and ausf B long ago.  Relegated to the $5 table at hobby stores or model shows.

Tristar was out of production for a bit -- but are being relaunched under Hobby Boss.  They might be a tad more difficult to find than DML but should still be plenty.  Tristar also made a Pz I training vehicle too.

I agree that it's a toss up btn Tristar and DML.

I thought that the Italeri kits were all of the longer hulled Panzer IB. A standard gun tank, a befehlspanzer command tank, and the upgunned open top Panzerjager I.

That is correct. The first to have a go at an Ausf. A was Tristar.

Tristar do a clear hull one as well with full interior, they can be hard to find and then there are the issues with clear hulls but I like the one I have in my stash
