Back in the saddle again
Posted by tigerman on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 11:11 PM

Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted any new builds. I've revisted my Dragon Tiger I late. As you can see, I'm adding Cavalier zimmerit. So far the build has gone well. I intend to do as much building as possible, before I paint it. It needs to warm up in my garage/shop before I can do so. In the meantime, I'm thinking of starting my Dragon T-34 1941. The kit appears pretty easy to assemble, so I can get that built up quickly enough. Hoping to get a few builds on the shelf this year. If things go well, maybe I'll join a GB later on. Haha

Welcome back Eric! The Tiger is looking great so far. Myself, I can never see too many of any particular vehicle modeled. What do you use to adhere the resin zimm? I have a PzIV with a set of it that I want to tackle at some point in the near future and have never used it.

Always great to see the Tigerman building a classic Tiger!

Welcome back Eric!!!

PS: I'm sure you've got a Maus hidden somewhere around there for Bish's 1946 GB Wink

Man, now I have the Aerosmith song stuck in my head! Big Smile

The Zim looks great on that tiger, oh, and by the way, you can never have too many tigers!

Welcome back! And as Gamera said, jump into the 1946 GB. It will be fun!

I've used a two-part opoxy that works really well. It adheres well and sets slowly enough to allow forgiveness. It smells like the devil though. I touch up corners with super-glue.

Thanks guys. Updates will probably be slow, so I'll only post meaningful updates.

thank you! Aside from a Panther F, I can't see anything in my stash that would work. I'm not sure I'm ready for that kit. I will evaluate my options after I finish a few builds.

I have the Dragon Panther F in the stash, i assume you have the same. If its anything like the last two Dragon panthers i built, an Ausf G and a Jagdpanther, it will be a real dream to build.

Great to see you back at the bench Eric.

Looking forward to following your Tiger build-always looking for tips-I have three Tamiya kits in the stash that I really need to start on....at least one of them...one of these days...

Yes, I remember that now.
 A great looking build,

recent than anything that I've done as of late.

LOL, don't worry, i had not forgot that. I should have been more specific and meant the tanks rather than the variants.
