Generally, it is used as an antipersonnell weapon and aimed with the turret. Instead of firing off a canister round, the open up with the Ma Duece. It is fired remotely, even though there are handles. The gun can be removed if needed, so it is not a permanent fixture.

Once again, nice job Mr. Maddog! I have a 1/35 Merkava in a box on the shelf that is now calling my name.

Refurbished Israeli Armor
Posted by Duke Maddog on Monday, March 15, 2004 12:59 PM
While doing all those builds, I decided to go ahead and refurbish some of my older Israeli Armor kits. These are all about 20 to 25 years old, and I decided to do some weathering on them using the techniques I've learned since they were built. Here they are in no particular order:

1/72 scale M48 Patton:

1/72 scale M60 Patton:

1/72 scale M60 Blazer:

(gotta fix the gun barrel on this someday! Black Eye [B)] )

1/72 scale Centurion:

1/72 scale T-62:

And finally, so everyone can see the complete set, I've posted all three of my 1/72 scale versions of the Merkava Tank.

The Merkava I is on top, followed by the Merkava II and then the Merkava III:

I hope you like them. I'll be doing the soft skins and APC's later and get them posted when they're done.
