Canadian LAV III

The Canadian LAV III is actually quite different from the photo's of the "Stryker" shown.It is equipped with the Delco turret,essentially the same turret as on the Coyote Recce/ Surveillance vehicle.The hull is similar to the photo's, however.Don't get your hopes up for a kit.Unless it's US,British or German or a country they are fighting, the major manufacturer's will not produce it.Not enough interest or money in it.

well I was misinformed, but at least I know the diff now.
I wish someone did come out with one. They look very aggressive

In my opinion, Dragon kits are pretty good as well. But if both Dragon and Tamiya come out with a kit of the LAV III, I'd go for the Tamiya one.

No, there is no kit of the LAV Gen III or Stryker as called by US Army. Here are a few photos of it:


The Italeri kit is of the LAV 25 used by the USMC and is not even close to the LAV Gen III with all the upgrades made to it.

Hopefully Italerei or someone else will come out with a Gen III LAV soon.

The first kit that comes to mind is the Italeri one. I think they actually put out several variants of the LAV
Don't know whether or not the box comes included with any Canadian decals, but if not, just do some basic research, and get aftermarket decals. They're fairly cheap.
