Hi,The LHS had this one on sale for €20.I though I do a weekend build and just kitbash. Not sure if that is going to happen any longer ;)I have some issues with the fit of the gun mantlet to the tower.Would anyone be able to point me to reference pictures.Best RegardsJohan Thorsell
So anyway, I am continuing weekend style..
Any suggestions on how paint the road wheels? My thinking:Base cout while still on the sprue, rubber to be hand painted next step?Best RegardsJohan
In regards to the road wheels, that is how I normally do ones with rubber tires.

Thanks Eric. Sanity check done :)The main gun is a 2 pice and has some hard to fix sink marks.Any good replacement available? Also, If I elevate the gun 10 % the gun mantlet touches the turret canvas. But if I would like to keep the gun at 0 elevation i have a gap between the gun mantlet and the turret canvas. How did you guys fix that?Weekend is not going to do for this one :|Best RegardsJohan

So this is were I am right now.some silly seam lines to be filled / covered.Main gun needs replacament.
Not a weekend job, sorry.Best RegardsJohan
I'm not sure of any way to really replicate the canvas covering over the mantlet in such a way to make the gun moveable without a gap. Personally I'd just cement it where you want it and then fill in the gap with putty.

Looking at the top photo in this thread, it looks like you have the gun mount set back just a little too far.
It looks as if you've mounted it so that the front panel of the mantlet is flush with the opening. It should be set so that the rear of the chamfer on the edges of the mantlet are level with the front of the opening.
If you're thinking about a replacement barrel, there are several available. Perhaps look at RB Model's offering http://www.rbmodel.com/picture.php?dir=35B47
Thank you Phil,Looks as if i have some sanding to do :|Best RegardsJohan

Thats how i used to do my road wheels. But last year i got a cheap template. Now i spary black and then do the wheel hub the base colour with the stencil.

Thanks for the advice Bish!I have cut a mask that seems to be working out for the outer part.Inner part seems more ticky, what is the maker of your stencil?Very Best RegardsJohan
The one i have is a helix circle template. Its not intended for modelling, but works fine so far.
