some progress on construction.

Sorry I don't have many pictures of the construction part, but a lot of the painting process.

Here I tried the famous color modulation, starting with a black base, then layers of white using low pressure with my iwata neo airbrush.

Now I make a mix with tamiya dark yellow and Flat Flesh for the base color.

Always applied in very thinned layers, to achieve a build up of the color and show the modulation of the previous stage.

After the base Color I wanted to added it a yellow filter. I used for this case the Tamiya Clear Yellow.

What on earth happen? Its too yellow!!! I know it is, due to my lack of research I just spray the color without using any thinner. Lesson Learn

just compare the before and after.

with acrylics and a fine brush I detailed all the small parts that "pops" around the hull and the turret. Look how all the model is taking a good looking shape.

here is the next step, the fading. I use a range of oils colors and then with a damp brush in thinner, remove it the excess making a blending in the process.

Look at the results after the fading process.

While the fading process dries overnight, I started to work the weathering and chipping of the metal plates or Schurzens.

I used diluted humbrol colors then after a few minutes I remove it very gently with a flat brush damped in thinner.

Time to work the weathering between the fenders and the wheels.

Just humbrol enamels using earth tones and chalks crushed for the pigments and textures.

taking shape, here some test fitting before continuing the weathering.

After a while of experimenting with the chalks and the humbrols colors, here is the result. Next chipping and dusting.

chipping and dusting using acrylics. Also I used a graphite pencil to make the polished effect on the cupola.

Cat, you have good techniques that'll work for almost any build. Nice craftsmanship, nice hues, nice pin washes and a great subject. A lot of wins there.

You did a magnificent job on the Mk III ausf. N. Your weathering techniques are incredible. My only thing is why you didn't put on any national markings(balkenkreuz) or unit insignias? Still and incredible model.

Hi, I make this model using this  picture as reference. This is Norway 1945 with a a bunch of panzer III with mixed features but no visible markings.
