M1 and King tiger pics
Posted by beav on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 5:43 PM
Uh hi, this probably didn't work, but my pics are on Ron's site anyways-so if they don't show, they are there.
This first of all is my Tamiya King Tiger, that I got for christmas-
http://rongeorge.com/modules/Gallery/upload/King_T_front

I hope that worked, here is another,
http://rongeorge.com/modules/Gallery/upload/King_T_side

With me so far? I hope that one worked also
This is my unfinished M1A1 w/Mine Plow for the M1 build.
I have the figs in the turret, although they might look like mishapen blobs.
Notice my King Tiger in the background?
http://rongeorge.com/modules/Gallery/upload/M1_Side

LETS HOPE that that one worked!
here is another view, and my last attempted photo-as I said they are on Rons site for anyone who wants to fix what I inevitably did wrong...
lol
here it is

hope those worked!

Hey, thanks Dwight!
I just took those today
I think that nobody ever painted a king tiger that way, but it looks out of the ordinary

Hehe, definitely a creative colour job. But you know what? I like that. I allways paint mine from my imagination, so it's allways good to see someone else doing it

I like your creativity on the Kingtiger cammo. Nothing wrong with ad-libing. Is that the Trumpeter or tamiya M1.

Great job Beav, the Tiger's camo definatly sets it apart from others I have seen. I linke to do things a little unorthodox myself , usually atleast something on every build and no one has called me on it yet. The Abram is looking good to. Thanks for posting.

That is a Tamiya M1A1 with Mine Plow, I thought it was a wonderful kit, and has been a great adventure into the modern armour realm(I have only done ww2 until now)
I would recommend it to anyone, who is not concerned with a few flaws in accuracy.
Even, I don't have to do much to the tracks which is saying a lot since all my tamiya tanks need stretching of those vinyl tracks

Hey Beav, was that King tiger hiding in the Zebra exhibit in the Berlin Zoo?Big Smile [:D] Very inventive.

As to doing things different to what everyone else does, there is an apt saying : Why be a sheep when you can be a shepherd. Now can anyone out there prove there wasn't a kitty camo'd that way......?

M1 is coming along nice too.

I can't remember who told me, but someone did. They said that German crews had huge leeway to do whatever they wanted with camo schemes. I thought that a dazzle effect on a viewer would hide my crummy 3 tone color scheme. It has fooled all of my friends though---but it has grown on me, and I love the little thing. Oh yeah, it is twice as heavy right now than the M1 is-which is a wider, longer kit. go figure

The KT is OOB all, and it was an awesome kit-the commander if you can see him is yelling to a motorcycle orderly, but I didn't include him in the photo.
