Russian tank recovery from bog.

After resting in a lake for 56 years, a Russian T-34-76A tank was pulled from the mud near Johvi, Estonia on September 14, 2000. The Germans captured the tank during WW II, painted their colors on the vehicle ,then abandoned the tank into the lake when retreating from Russian advancement.

Thanks for sharing!!!

I understand that there's no oxygen in the bog so something like a tank doesn't rust or rot but it's still amazing to me to see something sixty years old in that great a condition!

Ya know with a couple 1/35th dozers on the market now you could do a pretty cool diorama of a tank recovery from a bog...

Did you notice all the watching. even the kids were inter4ested I don't see that happening any time soon It would be great if someone else did it.
