Great work on that Pzkpfw IV ausf C. I figure its a veteran of the Polish campaign, I really like the white balkenkreuz recognition cross on the turret top. 

She turned out great, looking forward to seeing her on the base.

some progress, thinking about sticking some random stuff around on it. also went over the tools with a light coat of future so they have a bit of a sheen on them.

Thanks! Yea  I was lazy to build it all at once, it's an awful lot of parts just to make the turret lol. Shouldn't be a problem painting separate I mixed up more than enough paint.

Concrete mix? Wow, I'd never have thought of using that. 

So are you doing the turret separtly? I generally paint the whole thing as a unit so the paint/weathering etc matches.

What is your technique to make it look so dusty and dirty. That look you've done is exactly what I'm inspiring to create myself on my 1/72 kits but I'm struggling! (noob builder)

i first make an initial layer of dust areas using artist oils, then seal that with clear, ( duplicolor acrylic enamel is what I use). I do all my initial weathering over gloss clears.

Then I use dry concrete mix, a simple method of brushing on thinned white glue or even clear paint to the upper surfaces and then apply the concrete, I kind of let it fall from the brush onto the surface, then blast away any extra with the hair dryer.  Repeat until you have a build up to your liking. If there's some where you don't want it just dampen a brush and remove it.

On the lower parts I don't thin the white glue I just brush glue on then apply the concrete mix with a brush . Just add as many layers as you want. I do the same thing on the tracks.

Then everything is sealed under a flat varnish. I use Liquitex matte varnish with the airbrush.  

Then if you want to add any wet areas or oil and fuel spills on the lower hull just go in with oil washes, and future to make wet effects.
