That's a pretty cool video.  Looks like the bustle rack I had in the A3 I was on when I first joined is missing, and as previously pointed out, the round tray folded and stowed to the rear as opposed to rotating underneath the breech.  Pretty nifty video, and odd seeing the M109 with such a short barrel.  I'd be interested to see your build.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of pics of the original M109 that show the interior differences.  There was an AMPS Boresight issue a few months ago that showed a build of one and the details needed to backdate the old Traks M109A2 interior set into an M109.

Here is an old Army movie that shows it well though:

It shows the old-style rammer well.

Sort of.  The auto rammer was attached to the turret ring as opposed to under the gun breech as in the A2.  The ammo layout was different as well, among other smaller changes.

Was the interior of the M109 basically the same as the M109A2?
