If you want a very non-simplified kit, Bronco's M1114 kits are good. I haven't built the one I have yet but it looks great. And there's a good amount of photoetch. 

You might check IPMS Canada (International Plastic Modeler's Society). I'm seeing a club in Toronto and they have a show listed in October. Even if he doesn't want to join he might contact them about the show.

Other than that Sprue Brothers is good, though some of the Canadians who post here say the S&H is crazy from the US to up there. Don't get it myself, I mean all you have to do is put it on a truck and drive it over the border.

 

Nor do I, shipping to a close Canadian city costs way more than a further U.S. state. It's insane. I am not familiar with "model show/fair" concept, I cannot find anything (shows or LHS) near Toronto on internet. Probably I don't know what to type on Google.

I really liked the Tamiya Challenger kits myself. Any of the latest Trumpeter Soviet Cold War era AFV kits are most tempting as well.

 

P.S.: I live outside the U.S. of A.; so I won't be able to order from Spruebrothers etc. due to high shipping fees.

You might check Squadron's Fourth of July sale, they've got a lot of Meng stuff listed. The down side is that Squadron tends to be on the expensive side to begin with so their sale prices aren't much better than some other companies regular prices. You should check around before you buy from them. 

They have their M2 and T-90 listed but they're only five or ten bucks better than Sprue Brothers even on sale. Still really good deals if you want a Leopard or AMX-30.

Meng M2A3 Bradley Busk. It has all the PE included.

I haven't started mine yet, but it looks awesome. Interior, Engine, Indi Tracks, Interior Turret.
