This doesn't pertain to the OP's question (I believe he/she is a novice modeler asking for general guidelines?). But for those of us who have been in the hobby a while and have trouble finishing kits, for filmmakers, there's an old saying that you don't ever finish a movie, you abandon it. I think that applies to us as well!

An abrams will take meabout 5 months to complete with my regular 30 minutes or so a day. Simpler kits will take for me about a month and a half. I do several kits at the same time which also add to the time I get to complete a kit.

Decades!  I have a Tamiya Stug III I started probably back in the 70's that's still not finished.  I started a Meng FT-17 late last year, and it's not finished yet!!

It all depends on how quickly you want to get it done. There's really no correct answer here. Everyone does it on their own pace.

I'm not saying my techniques take 4-8 weeks,but due to work bench time,thats how long it usually takes.

Most armour builds, what ever the brand, will take me between 4 and 6 weeks. But that includes the base and figures.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Hi ROB ;

    I built their version of a Stug 111 and it was a blast to build . Actually easier than Monogram's .And the Tamiya kit had more parts too . T.B.

I just want to here you about how long it takes to complete Tamyia 1/35 tank? 1 months, 2 months, 6 months? I know it's a very variable thing but I want to have an idea. Thanks a lot
