Hey all...recently finished the M4 Sherman from italeri, here it is....

"...failure to do anything because someone else can do better makes us rather dull and lazy..."
Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day. But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...
I like the markings. Does it represent a particular vehicle or unit?

Actually, no. The world of tanks/italeri kit only comes with a sheet of decals that are available in game to add to your tank...actually, each one of those playing cards is an individual decal, not available in game like that.
I will probably pick up another kit of increased quality at some point...I really like the sherman....
I've heard and read good things about Tamiya's new M4A3E8. FSM did say that it could benefit from PE update parts. Other than that, it sounds like a great kit.
Nice work! Did you say this was your first or one of your first tanks? In any case cool.
If I may nitpick a little bit though? The thingies in the three part racks on the back of the tank are spare track links. Just take a little rubber coloured dark grey paint and you can paint them, pretty easy. And the model does look sorta shiney, it may be the camera though. If not just spray it with some matte varnish like Dullcote and it will dull right out.
And this is a question with the kit not your building. The sand skirts would probably not be fitted by the time of the war the 76mm version was active. I'm no Sherman expert, maybe someone else would know? Anyway I'm questioning the kit, not your work Justin, kudos on a bang-up job.
And btw the Dragon Sherman's are pretty good. And the Asuka/Tasca kits are amazing, the best Shermans I think out there- though expensive...

Nice work indeed. Although it could stand to have a coat of flat though.
Nice work. Have to agree the with the flat coat!! Oh and in answer to the questions of the side skirts,,,,, yes by this point in the war they were either taken off or had had fallen off after banging into trees and buildings.
