Anyone here build a Panda MRAP, or any Panda modern AFV?

Hi Guys, I've been hearing and reading some nightmare stories on the extremely poor fit of these kits, and seemingly from very experienced modelers.

I wanted to get the new Panda JERRV for a modern dio I'm starting soon, but I am hesitating.  Very interesting subjects, apparently poorly engineered for the kits.

Any direct  input would be helpful.  Thanks.

Here is a build log of the JERRV.  It doesn't look too bad.

I have not built it, but have built other Panda kits.  They are no better or worse than other modern kits.  I had no real issues.  I say give it a go.

Thanks Gino,

I had read that log in my reasearch. One suggestion I heard was to build the interior first, then attach the top and bottom hull halves.  Then the chassis.

This way exterior parts won't get destroyed while wrestling with major hull fit issues.

The finished product would look good.

I'm no pro but I highly recommend against the Panda Cougars. Absolutely atrocious fit on almost every part. The best part of the kit, I think, is the O-GPK turret. The gun sucks but the rest of the turret is nice. It fits and looks good. I don't know about accuracy though.

 In progress:

I'm currently working on the Panda 2S6M Tunguska. The hull assembly hasn't been too bad. The two-piece indy-link track assembly hasn't exactly been my favorite part of the process though. The weapons systems on the turret are a bit fiddly too. All in all though, it's like Gino said, it's about like all modern kits.
