Part B16 is used if the outermost wheel is NOT used. This was common in Tigers because that wheel tended to scoop in mud.

The outboard run of wheels (B6) does extend past the line of the outer sprocket. The sprocket holes in the track are offset and while the inner edge of the track engaged the inner sprocket, the outer sprocket engages the track at about 3/4 width.

The other outer sprocket (B4) is used for the "late" kit with the alternate pressed steel wheel arrangement.

I also have two extra "outer"sprocket halves, (each sprocket made of inner and outer) what's up with that? Are these instructions a bit on the vague side, or am I just tired? Or are there missing or wrong details?

thanks!

Tiger 1 road wheels?

hi guys! I did a quick search to try and avoid being the 856644th person to ask this, but am I supposed to use ALL. of these godforsaken road wheels? This is my first tiger, and something doesn't look right to me. The instructions show you basically staggering a double road wheel (C, B11+b12 glued together)  then single road wheel (B8), theN you come back with a second row of double wheels (D, B5 and B7 glued together)  In between. Last, if I am reading this right, it shows another single wheel coming in last( B6). This looks wrong. It seems to stick out too far from the sprocket. Instruction #3 (bottom one) also shows this small hub/spacer deal, (B16) but it fits into the double road wheel fine, (C), but the little post coming out of the single wheel (B6) Is way too large for this to work. Where did I go wrong?! When I look at instruction #5 showing the fiTment of the tracks it seems like it could work, but the outermost wheels seem to fit far too loosely.  Thanks! Rudy
