I guess the serious armour buffs probably have already seen this but I only saw it today. Listed release date is in November. I think I know what my modeling Christmas gift to myself will be this year.
Quick low-down the T29 was an US Army attempt to beef up the M26 Pershing to create an American Royal Tiger killer. The T29 used a longer M26 hull with a huge new turret mounting a 105mm gun and 279mm frontal armour (as opposed to the Tiger II's 180mm). Weighing in at 70 tons the project was dropped with the end of the Second World War.
I'm hoping HobbyBoss will do their usual thing and release other versions. There were six prototypes produced in all including the T30 with it's 155mm gun and T34 with a 120mm.
More information here on the tank.
PS: Aren't the tracks on backwards in the painting? I haven't built any HobbyBoss armour kits but I hope they're doing a better job than Dragon's Black Label series.
