Tread way Bridge Sections
Posted by richs26 on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 12:02 AM

Does any one know where to find Treadway bridge sections?  I am in the planning stage to do the gatehouse bridge at Funchilin Pass during the Chosin "attack in a different direction" march.  With the availability now of Miniart's Cats from Squadron, all I need now is 4 bridge sections, and a jeep.  A Brockway would be nice for another direction if one is available from somewhere.

Bronco does a Bailey Bridge in 1/35. There is an old Revell/Renwall AVLB kit  out there, I think based off a M48. I don't know if either of these will fit your needs...

Sorry, but Baileys are totally different from a Treadway. TW's are more portable bridge sections.  Fort Wainwright still has a Bailey in active use for non-tactical traffic.  I have seen them from Google searches, but haven't found a supplier yet as both Sprue and Squadron don't have them.  Might have to try Hannants.

You don't say what scale you are looking for.

I've the Verlinden Treadways with & without the rubber boaty things, in 1/35th,good, but solid, also available in 1/72nd.

HDS on Shapeways has the 1/35th  Bridge Section, worth a look

In 1/35thScalelink have the vehicle and all the bridge parts...

or the base vehicle could be converted from HobbyBoss White 666 truck

Brockway 666 in 1/48th by Gaso.line maybe bridge bits, have a look

Wespe Models have various tricks is several scales

good luck
