M-24 CHAFFEE
Posted by MrT on Thursday, November 17, 2016 7:42 AM

This is my M-24 Chaffee.  I back dated the Italeri kit to be the WW II version and added Verlinden figures, Fruil tracks, Legend stowage and hatch latches

Thanks for looking

Excellent model, but the figs really make it stand out.

Excellent work indeed! You have some serious lifelike results here! Perhaps a little too much track sag as US armor uses "live" tracks. But overall, WOW!

You replaced the kit's .50, didn't you? Italeri .50 cal.s are nowhere near that nice... Wink

Seriously nice work! Kudos! My only suggestions would be that the turret roof mounted spot lamp shroud did not have a silvered inner surface. It was OD and only acted as a focusing shroud for the light beam. Also note the incomplete painting of your headlights. Great work though! These are only tiny nitpicks

That is excellent! Top, top notch. I have the same kit and hope to make a French Indochina War version one day.

Did you have any problems with the Verlinden figures due to their size?

Some new talent here on the forum folks.

Beautiful build Terry, figures included.
Those tracks look spot on when
compared to the picture.

There's a new sheriff in town. Really great work on the Chaffee. As my friend always told me the model can be great but if you add figures, the human eye will look to the human element in a model or diorama. They are extremely well done and they throw your vehicles over the top.

Well I like to add a crew to my models it gives them life and sense of scale.

Thanks!
