Missing Road Wheels, Dragon Panzer I Kit #6597
Posted by Marcus McBean on Friday, December 9, 2016 3:55 PM

Just open this kit and did the inventory.  Found that the kit only had eight road wheels, but the model requires ten road wheels.  The inventory sheet shows that the kit only comes with eight wheels (sprue L), but step three and four shows the installation of 5 wheels on each side.  The picture on the box shows 5 road wheels per side.

Has anyone on the forum built this kit?  Am I missing something?  I checked and rechecked and checked again each sprue and cannot find the other road wheels.

All the reviews on the web for this kit only shows eight wheels comes with the kit, but no reviewer has did a review of a build either on the web or you-tube.  So have not been able finded out if this is common problem with this kit.

I opened a trouble ticket with Dragon, but I cannot believe they would not put the required number of road wheels when designing and packaging this kit.

I found a review on missing linx. It gives a list of the sprues and mentions a Sprue J with road wheels as well as a Sprue L. It says that Sprue L is for the Pz I Ausf A. This only had 4 wheels each side. My gues is you need the wheels from J and the springs from L.

Sprue J has the idler wheels and drive sprockets.  Thanks for looking.

Apparently it was indeed a mistake. You need to request additional brass rings for the roadwheels too.
