I like the 634 and would like 72 easy payments.

You model German armor so very well.

You'll kick me to the curb, but I see Verlindens influence. Focus on one aspect of the diorama.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Some nice build there. Though the vehicles in the dio's do look out of place. they could do with more weathering to tie it all together. The 234 and Pz IV J look like they have just rolled out of the factory. A dio build should really be weathered accordingly, raher than just all looking alike which you can get away with on shelf sitters.

But other than that, not bad.

I salute you again Herr Field Marshal!!!

Yes, some of the them do look very clean but remember Manny always had his troops wash and wax the equipment to give a good impression!

Thanks, Morrison--that piece actually won a GOLD medal at AMPS in the advanced category...its based off a famous pic around Normandy and depicts a Lehr vehicle, recently marked w the family crest of a fallen divisional leader...possibly my favorite armor build as well, along w the tortoise-shell panther sans numerals, which is also based on a famous picture of Panther tanks moving through Paris on the way to Normandy...

Ahhhh, yes:  the perpetual "not enough rust" debate that will be around as long as models are being built...a circular argument to be sure...NEEDS MORE RUST!!!

No, doesn't need rust, just a bit of dirt and grim to fit in with the scene. Unlike a free standing model, a dio should tell a story and all the parts of that story need to fit together. And the story should not just tell the viewer what they can see in front of them, it should also tell them what has happened before, what is about to happen and even what is going on around off the scene.

Thanks for sharing, I've always thought you did some really nice work.

Love the last one, I think you called it 'Death in the Courtyard?'
