Tanks of the world 1915-1945

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has this book called Tanks of the world 1915-1945 by Peter Chamberlain and Chris Ellis. I bought it through the military book club. I think it's excellent and has numerous pictures of rare tanks that I did not even know exsisted.

I have it, have had it quite a while now. It's a pretty good quick ref, but I don't like it only having one ref photo of any given vehicle. I run to it pretty often though.

Does it contain any line drawings? I like lots of those for paint and weathering hints.

An old standby for decades for me, one of the first books I ever bought.

I have it , plus "British and American Tanks of WWII" and also "Encyclopedia of German Tanks of WWII". These three books are great reference sources. Mine are all softbound which cuts down on costs. Has been great for answers to the weekly 'AFV Quiz's' too. I started armor about 13 months ago and I would recommend any of these, or all of them if you can afford it.

It's a very old standby book. Considered the authoritative work back when it came out, but now it is known to contain a lot of inaccurate information especially on the German stuff.

I just got it from the library as well...It seems limited compared to some of the books out there, but it covers so much material so it couldn't possibly be detailed.

Eric, This book does not have any line drawings. Which is the books only fault. The book has a lot of pictures of tanks and a brief discription of the tank.
