Well that is something different. I too like your paint job and weathering.

Wow, I think this is the first time I've seen this kit finished. Beautiful job there, love the paint fading and weathering.

KV-5 (Object 225) - A cancelled project for a heavy tank. The main gun was to be a 107mm ZiS-6 gun, and the tank was projected about 100 tons. The project was cancelled due to the siege of Leningrad.
This kit was great fun EXCEPT the tracks. The links DO not fit together and must be filed and sanded down to connect......over 200 links, very tedious. I still had a lot of trouble getting them fitted and did not get the desired finish I wanted with them (sag along top). That aside I had a blast doing the paint scheme and weathering on this beast. I stippled Mr surfacer 500 with a paint brush on the cast iron areas, used a blade to score the sides of the plate steel in areas.Painted with Tamiya acrylics. Other things used-AK True Metal (Iron for the road wheels)Vallejo Metal Color (Burnt Iron for the tracks)AK Interactive enamel washFlory was, a mix of brown and dark dirtSeveral colours of oil paint Pigment powdersVallejo dark earth paste
Vallejo matte varnish
