Italeri kits generally need a little more work to them. But for their prices, the quality isn't half bad.

I'm building the Tiger E/H1 by Italeri, but adding a serious amount of AM bits to it (check out my 'Putting a tank in your tiger...' threads for a running report..).

I don't think the Italeria Tiger E/H1 is a very accurate kit OOB, but its pro's are the low cost, the availability of after market bits and pieces. Its a good basis for some additional work.

I've got the late prodution Tiger I from Italeri. It built up okay, the detail was a little soft and the link and length tracks weren't up to snuff, so I bought an AM set for my Tamiya Tiger and put the Tamiya indy links on the Italeri. Only real problem I had with the kit was keeping the hull square until I got the upper deck on it. I think it looks pretty good.

I like italeri, I have a few of their kits-although some are a little inaccurate-a big huge extra hatch(hole) on top of the M32-although they were only on the prime mover version

I've got the Italeri Tiger I, it is a rather decent kit. Obviously not as good as the newer Tamiya kits, but better than their original. The one I have is the one without the molded zimmerit.

I have Italeri's Sturmtiger and it is a pretty nice kit. Even comes with molded on zimmerit. Most Italeri kits are nice builds, but can be finicky once in a while.

I haven't built much from Italeri, but their price definitely can't be beat. Keep in mind that the quality won't be the same as Tamiya, but overall, they're fairly easy to build, and as I said, at around half the price of a Tamiya kit, they're very good for what you pay for.

Hello everyone, just had another question. I have built basically every Tiger 1 Tamiya has to offer and I have built one of Academy's. They were all pretty good, but I was wondering how Italeri's Tiger 1 was, or how good their quality is in general. I've never built an Italeri kit before and I just wanted to get an Italeri Tiger 1 and it would be nice to see what quality I'm walking in to. Thanks
