Help correcting TA M3 Lee 37mm Turret
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 6:15 PM
Have the Tamiya Lee with all its faults.

I have a handle on fixing everything but the 37mm turret.
I know it looks too tall, too round on top, the sides are too straight, and the cupula (sp) is offset. (Other than that it did yoy enjoy the play Ms Lincoln?).

I think there is an artcle running around on how to fix it -- can anyone provide me copy or summary of it?

I'd rather have some good advice before I perform my Lizzie Borden routine on the turret ....

Thanks in advance

Don't forget the tracks ...... there's no correcting them. They're only good for one thing, garbage can fillers.

Unfortunately I don't have that article you're looking for. I believe Cookie Sewell did one in an old copy of Boresite in the Dogpound Section.

for those tracks, you might be able to switch em out for good tamiya sherman ones-if that is ok-with sherman freak

How about doing a diorama of a burnt out Lee? I'm told sometimes the turrets blew right off!Tongue [:P]

Sorry I can't really help.

Took me a while to get the Lincoln joke, being an Aussie and all. Funny though!
